I am proud to introduce the team behind Unisoft. They have been carefully chosen – either they sought out the company or I approached them. Each member has a set of specific skills which, when interleaved with the others’, means the whole team is much stronger than the sum of its parts.

And we aren’t just work colleagues. Every month or so we have an evening out, which has lately included exotic restaurants, 3D cinema, laser shooting gallery and comedy clubs.

Unisoft’s first employee.
I advertised at the job centre but Marios, who
was already employed, convinced me he was the right guy for the job He certainly was not wrong!

For 20 years Brian was a Cobol programmer for British Gas. We drank in the same pub. When he was laid off he started learning VB. I quickly offered him a job.

Brenda worked for IT support at a hospital in Cumberland.  She wrote a PAS interface for Endoscribe. When she applied to Unisoft for a job she was taken on without hesitation.

Sean worked in IT for a Trust. An agency sent me his CV unsolicited which showed he had the right experience. So I placed
an ad in his local paper;
he got a mysterious phone call pointing him to the
ad and the rest is history!

Gary was with an agency but wasn’t keen to leave his long time big-named employer. The minute I saw him I knew he would fit in perfectly with the team. I had to do a hard-selling job to convince him to join us.

Jon worked for us in
1998-1999 then went to University to get a degree in computing.
We completely lost track of him. Then he contacted us out of the blue and I didn’t hesitate in offering him a job.

Lindsay knew David Simpson from his Newchurch days. I could tell Lindsay was gifted and had no hesitation in employing him to design and maintain our web site and look after the company’s IT infrastructure

We met Jane just at the right time for both of us. She had been made redundant as a software training manager and was looking for part time employment. This came just as I was spending more time out of the office.

Back in 2003 Unisoft received an approach from another company. We needed professional advice in that area and I knew of Bernard through business contacts. He had the knowledge and experience and so became our non-exec in 2004.

After a career in the NHS, David represented HCN selling EndoScribe.  With their imminent demise in the UK David phoned me. That call could not have been more fortuitous, and since then David has established Unisoft as supplier of choice to all Health Boards in Scotland.

Chris used to sell the American Endosoft product. He found this hard going and after three years – during which Unisoft really took off – Chris chose to switch allegiances and join the more successful team!

Stuart isn’t just a chip off the old block, as anyone who has been trained by him can attest. After every training session I receive emails from the customers praising his skills. He is a fantastic asset and has a good future ahead of him

Another contact from David Simpson’s Newchurch days, Mark has worked in Healthcare IT for many years.  Having worked for larger healthcare IT providers, Mark thought it was time to join a more successful company!

Graeme joined Unisoft from NHS Tayside.  He was Project Manager during the implementation of Unisoft in sites across the Trust. Accredited with PRINCE2 “Foundation and Practitioner”, Graeme has over 20 years in the IT industry and also has a BA degree in Accounting.

Dawn is our Endoscopy Services Manager. She joined us from Queens Hospital, Burton and prior to that was at Good Hope Hospital where she was Endoscopy Unit Manager. Dawn brings to Unisoft that unique insight gained in running busy Endoscopy Units and is an extremely valuable asset to the company.
