     Digital Endoscopy Image Capture

Incorporate endoscopy images in patients' Bronchoscopy and GI Reports.

The DigImAk software integrates seamlessly into Unisoft's GI and Bronchoscopy Reporting Tools, adding endoscopy image handling to these products.

The kit includes everything needed to capture digital images from the endoscopy equipment and attach them to annotated diagrams of the anatomy. It includes a video acquisition card for the PC, a cable connecting the Sony monitor on the endoscopy stack to the video acquisition card, a footswitch for triggering the capture of the images frozen on the monitor, and the software for “grabbing” the images and attaching them to the reports. The kit does not include a colour printer.

By taking the images from the Sony monitor, DigImAK is independent of the supplier of endoscopy equipment and type of 'scope being used.

Thus the DigImAK software can handle videoscope, EUS and x-ray images. Videoscope images grabbed from the monitor are automatically cropped of their black surround to show just the region of interest.
When images are attached to a “site” in the Reporting Tool the software automatically recalls images taken from the same part of that patient's anatomy in previous procedures. They are offered up side-by-side with the current images thus facilitating quick on-screen comparisons of, for example, pre- and post-therapy images.

The images are stored in JPG format and therefore can also be incorporated into Word documents and PowerPoint presentations.
