GI reporting covers Upper Endoscopy Reporting, ERCP Reporting, Colonoscopy Reporting and Sigmoidoscopy Reporting and captures full data on eosophageal, pancreatic and colorectal tumours and also caters for resected colons. The GI Reporting software automatically includes customisable ward care instructions for stent insertions, oesophageal dilatations, laser treatments, etc.

Our Scheduling Tools interface with the PAS for pulling down demographic data and has all the dedicated features you would expect in a scheduler. The scheduler allows you to set rules for the rooms, e.g ERCPs can only be done in X-ray and not rooms 1 or 2. Then there are rules for endoscopists, e.g a nurse endoscopist performing an Endoscopy video capture can only do diagnostic OGDs and  sigmoidoscopies and (say) just banding of piles and injection of varices. From the scheduler you are able to print the appointment list on A4 paper, ready for the staff to use and place up on the wall in the Endoscopy image capture room.  This list will show the patient’s time of procedure, the type of procedure to be performed and any relevant notes.

With our GI Auditor’s kit, you can analyse the GI data from four perspectives: the GRS, the Patient, the Procedure and the Operator. Produce sophisticated analyses of your GI data, including colonoscopy completion rates, instrument usage, histories of managing patients with colorectal cancer, etc. The GI Auditor's Kit is independent of both the main application itself – the GI Reporting Tool – and its data. It is a Microsoft Access database that contains the framework of forms, queries, report layouts and code needed to audit data recorded in the GI Reporting Tool.

Our PAS/EPR interfaces can download patient demographic data from the hospital's main Patient Administration System (PAS). Unisoft offers five techniques: 
The best and fastest way to download data is by using an Open Database Connection (ODBC). The user just types in the patient's hospital number, or scans the patient's bar code, and the patient's details are downloaded in a fraction of a second. 

Just as fast as ODBC is TCP/IP, this technique allows low-level calls usually to proprietary Interface Engines.

HL7 Messaging is an industry standard messaging system that allows request for data to be transferred between disparate systems that are not ODBC-compliant. 
Several Patient Administration System have report generators. These can be used to create plain text files containing demographic data in a regular layout. The Unisoft applications can be configured to pick up data from these files. This is called Flat File Transfer

A less sophisticated approach for PAS systems that cannot support any of the above techniques is called Screen Scrape. It requires a terminal emulator that can continuously capture data appearing in the terminal window and save it to a file on the hard disk

Transcribe is a free utility that transfers data from Endoscribe™ version 2 into Unisoft's GI Reporting Tool. It imports Endoscribe reports into the GI Reporting Tool's own database, and is usually carried out after the Unisoft "go live" date.
