NHS Grampian became the 8th Health Board area in Scotland using Unisoft for endoscopy reporting when Aberdeen Royal Infirmary went live on 3rd January 2007.

The GI Reporting Tool is now in use in the GI Endoscopy Unit and the Theatre Endoscopy Suite and over 30 Endoscopists have been trained in the use of the system. Unisoft has replaced the EndoScribe system that was previously only used in the GI Unit. Patient Demographics are downloaded using an ODBC Interface to the iSoft Hospital PAS.

Installation has commenced at Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin who will go live with the GI Reporting System on 1st February 2007.

The Grampian eHealth team are also working on installations at 5 Community Hospitals where scoping is carried out one day per week supported by a team of nurses travelling out from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
