In Scotland the first hospital in Greater Glasgow, Gartnavel General Hospital went live in July and during August implementation was completed in the remaining 4 Hospitals - Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Southern General Hospital, Stobhill Hospital and the Victoria Infirmary. Over 100 Endoscopist have now been trained in both GI and Bronchoscopy Reporting.
In the three hospitals in the North Division Unisoft has replaced the GIscribe and BronchoScribe. These products, which were only installed in 2005, had proved a great frustration to endoscopists and nursing staff alike. In the two hospitals in the South Division EndoScribe has been replaced at the Victoria Infirmary.
Overall 25 DigImAK Image capture kits have been installed across the city with interfaces to the iSoft HOMER PAS in the North and the Meditech HIS in the South.
During August we also received an order for the Golden Jubilee National Hospital based in Clydebank, near Glasgow. This is Scotland’s flagship hospital for reducing patient waiting times. Endoscopy referrals are received from across the country to assist Health Boards meet the 9 week wait for Endoscopy tests. Unisoft will supply our GI Reporting System and two DigImAK Image Capture Kits together with an interface to the COMPAS PAS system as used elsewhere in the West of Scotland. This becomes the eleventh Health Board areas in Scotland to select Unisoft for Endoscopy Reporting.
South of the border the GI and Cystoscopy Reporting tools were installed at the new One Day Medical Centre in Southend, and the Bronchoscopy and GI Reporting Tools were installed at the Wellington Hospital in London. The latter is part of the HCA Group's purchase of Unisoft across all of their sites and also includes a link to their Tracker Scope system
