Dumfries & Galloway became the twelfth Health Board Area in Scotland to select Unisoft for Endoscopy Reporting after a lengthy procurement process.   The system went live in both Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary and the new Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer.   In addition to installing nine digital imaging kits, the data held in the old EndoScribe system was Transcribed and over 30 members of staff trained on site.

Dumfries and Galloway also became the first site in Scotland to pull demographic data using a web services interface to their SCI Store database.  Unisoft appreciate the assistance received from local IT staff and Atos Origin in completing this interface and it is anticipated that it will be taken up by a number of existing Scottish sites over the coming months.
