The Western General Hospital in Edinburgh became the first site in Lothian to go live with the GI Reporting Tool and Image Capture kits on Monday 31st March 2008.
At the last minute a decision was taken to interface to the Trak Healthcare System rather than obtaining demographic data from SCI Store. Unisoft were instructed to write this interface at 3pm on Wednesday 26th March and it was delivered to the customer for testing by midday Thursday 27th March. After training is complete at Western General the rollout will continue at the remaining five hospitals in Lothian with a target completion date of 30th April 2008.
Installation at Northampton General Hospital also begins on the last day of March with the training rolling out over the remainder of that week. Northampton have opted for the Cystoscopy and GI Reporting Tools with three Image Capture kits and an HL7 interface to their PAS.
During March we also received an order for New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton. They already use our Bronchoscopy Reporting Tool and are augmenting it with the SQL Server version of our GI Reporting Tool. They will also be taking three Image Capture Kits and an ODBC interface to their PAS. They have over ten year's worth of GI data in their Micromed program, so Unisoft will be transferring that into the GI Reporting Tool too. Installation and training are scheduled for week commencing 21st April.
