In December we installed the GI Reporting Tool at St Richards Hospital, Chichester as an extension to the installation at Worthing Hospital. At the same time the PAS interface was changed so that it pulled the demographic data from Sema Helix instead of Cerner.
In February 2010 Borders General Hospital in Melrose became the last mainland Scottish Hospital to go live with the Unisoft GI Reporting Tool. The installation had been postponed until the Users had settled into their new Endoscopy Unit with two procedure rooms equipped with Image Capture. Demographic data is taken from SCI Store and 7 Endoscopists were trained over the week using the new system.
Then in March we installed the GI Reporting Tool with four Image Capture kits and HL7 PAS interface at West Suffolk Hospital. They had been using Endoscribe for almost 20 years – so their old data was transferred into our GI database using our free utility Transcribe.
Next we installed the Cystoscopy Reporting Tool at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare’s East Surrey Hospital. This has had a profound impact on the service offered by the hospital now that GP reports are sent out the same day the procedures are carried out.
In April we installed the GI Reporting Tool at the Withington Hospital in Manchester. The consultants from Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wytheshawe and Christie Hospitals – hospitals all using Unisoft – carry out endoscopies at the Withington and so training there was not an issue!
Then in May the GI Reporting Tool went into the Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals. The software was installed in four Endoscopy rooms across both sites, with digital Image Capture in each.
Finally this month we installed the GI Reporting Tool at Ramsay Blakelands Hospital in Milton Keynes. This brings to ten the number of Ramsay Hospitals using our software, with still more to come.
