When Borders General Hospital starting using the Unisoft GI Reporting System in February 2010 this completed the installation at all mainland Scottish Health Boards. This leaves Gilbert Bain Hospital, Lerwick as the only hospital in Scotland, carrying out GI Endoscopy, not using the Unisoft Reporting Tool.

On 2rd August 2010 the Endoscopy Unit at Falkirk
moved to the new Forth Valley Royal Hospital at Larbert.
Unisoft cabled the 4 new endoscopy rooms on the 2nd and working closely with Judy Mason from the eHealth team and Olympus ensured everything was installed
and configured ready for 4 endoscopy lists to be run
from 9am on the Tuesday 3rd August.
The Endoscopy Team at FVRH is led by Sandra Fleming. Jim Sinclair
the general manager commented “that he was lucky to lead an outstanding and committed team and that combined with great teamwork from Olympus and
Unisoft had ensured the successful transition to the
new hospital”. |

| The web services interface to SCI Store is in use in 10 Health Board areas.
The ability to export Endoscopy Reports via XML to SCI Store has been implemented in 5 Health Boards with
the remainder expected to take up this option in the
near future.
From SCI Store V4 up there is an option to include the
still images attached to the Endoscopy Reports as base64 text within the XML.
