Unisoft's Lung Cancer Management System (LCMS)

Includes the Bronchoscopy Reporting Tool. LCMS is designed to capture data at the point of service for all patients passing through a cancer unit's department of thoracic medicine and covers the complete patient journey from inward referral to onward referral for treatment.

It also captures the nationally required Cancer Waiting Time data and includes a routine for uploading that data into the NHSIA's Open Exeter system.

Similarly the LUCADA dataset is fully supported, together with a routine for uploading that data into the national system.

Bronchoscopy Reporting Tool (BRT)

Record pathologies encountered and specimens taken by using the mouse to mark “sites” on a diagram of the bronchial tree. Produces a top quality Bronchoscopy Report and laboratory request forms.

The former can include digital images taken from the bronchoscope using Unisoft's DigiImAK - Digital Image Acquisition Kit.

The "Magic" Audit Button

This is included with LCMS and produces sophisticated analyses of the management, diagnosis and treatment of patients with suspected/confirmed lung cancer, all at the click of a button.

Regional Kit for Auditing Lung Cancer (ReKALC)

Cancer units electronically export the regionally agreed core dataset captured in their copies of LCMS to a central location. There the data is imported into a single database ready for regional and hospital-by-hospital analysis.

Regional Tertiary Centre Kit (ReTeCK)

Adds surgery and oncology screens to LCMS. Supports electronic patient referral of cancer units' diagnostic data to the tertiary centre where the surgery and oncology data is recorded in their copy of LCMS.

PAS Interfaces

Download patient demographic data from the hospital's main Patient Administration System (PAS) into either BRT or LCMS.
