ReTeCK – the Regional Tertiary Centre Kit – supports electronic referral of patients with lung cancer between secondary units and tertiary centres. Based entirely on LCMS the secondary units export the entire diagnostic dataset for a patient to the tertiary centre. This data is encrypted and compressed to comply with the Caldicott guidelines on the confidentiality of patient data.

At the Tertiary Centre, this data is imported into their ReTeCK copy of LCMS which has additional screens for recording oncology and/or surgery information.

After this information has been recorded the data can be re-exported back to the secondary unit so that outcomes can be audited.
